Gravesite of former Palestinian Authority leader Yassir Arafat at the government Headquarters in Ramallah. Arafat’s compound was under siege by Israeli military forces between 2001 and 2002 during the Second Intifada after a string of Palestinian suicide bombings in Israeli cities.

American photographer Adam Golfer’s images of the West Bank look beyond the hurly burly of one of the world’s intractable conflicts.
